Our terms and conditions are here to make things affordable in the long-run and protect you (and us), so please take a moment to get to know the serious side to convenient deliveries of fresh, affordable produce and products.

 

Urban Foods Wholesale  |  Terms and Conditions

  1. Office hours: 6am – 3pm.
  2. Orders for same day delivery must be placed before 11am.
  3. All orders must be placed the night before or before 11am for same day delivery in writing via WhatsApp (072 730 2964) or email (orders@urbanfoods.co.za) or fax (011-440-8039).
  4. Orders placed on the phone (011-440-2678) cannot be guaranteed for accuracy, due to miscommunication errors that can occur.
  5. Free deliveries on orders over R300 if placed the night before and R500 for same day delivery.
  6. Only the first order over the minimum amounts of R300 and R500 (as stated above) will qualify for free delivery.
  7. If you require another same-day delivery, please ensure that you send us your order before 11am and note that a delivery charge may apply (R95 – R150, depending on area).
  8. Urban foods will not accept responsibility for any product returned after the delivery has been checked and signed-off by your kitchen staff and our driver has left your premises.
  9. Payment terms are strictly C.O.D. – unless prior arrangements have been made.
  10. All outstanding accounts will be treated as C.O.D. until settled.
  11. We accept payment by EFT and on receipt of proof of payment and confirmation of receipt in our bank account, we will deem the transaction to be successful and process the order accordingly.
  12. Please note that we reserve the right to change prices without prior notice.

  1. Office hours: 6am – 3pm.
  2. All orders are delivered within 48 hours.
  3. There are no same-day deliveries.
  4. Free deliveries on orders over R500.
  5. All orders must be placed through the online ordering portal.
  6. Urban Foods Grocery Shop and Truthery will not accept responsibility for any product returned after the delivery has been checked and signed-off by yourself or member of household and our driver has left your premises. You must inspect your package once you have received it and notify us promptly if you find any defects by calling or emailing us using the contact details on our website. If you don’t inform us within three hours of delivery of any issues, you’ll be deemed to have accepted the package and we will not refund or replace any item.
  7. If you have not received your package, please inform us by 3pm. After this time you will be deemed to have received and accepted the package and we will not refund or replace any item.
  8. Payment terms are strictly C.O.D via the payment portal or via EFT, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  9. All outstanding account will be treated as C.O.D. until settled.
  10. An order will be processed on full payment. An agreement is in place on full receipt of funds.
  11. All cancellations must be received via email, telephone, or our website within 24 hours of placing your order and you must have received written confirmation thereof. After 24 hours, refunds or credits won’t be offered.
  12. Cancellations includes any postponement of a booking to a different date and changing the type of Truthery cleanse selected or the number of participants included in your order. Please see our Ordering Policy for further details on order and cancellation deadlines.
  13. We accept payment by EFT and on receipt of proof of payment and confirmation of receipt in our bank account, we will deem the transaction to be successful and process the order accordingly.
  14. Your order is not confirmed until we have received payment.
  15. All prices shown current and valid per person per individual arrangement.
  16. We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice, which can happen due to produce and seasonal price fluctuations, currency fluctuations, and fuel prices.
  17. All orders submitted prior to a promotion being introduced cannot be changed to that of the promotion.
  18. Delivery is made to the address selected from your account and you are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery, including ensuring that a work address is acceptable to your employer or providing a back-up contact person to be available if you can’t be reached.
  19. Changes to your delivery address must be notified to us within our order deadlines. We are not obliged to accommodate late changes to your delivery address.
  20. In the event that your delivery is damaged or stolen from your specified delivery address, we do not accept liability and will only offer compensation at our discretion.
  21. If we are unable to deliver to the specified address for any reason, we will attempt to contact you using the details you have supplied to make other arrangements. If we are unable to deliver in such circumstances, we reserve the right to charge you for the order that has not been delivered.
  22. If we are unable to deliver to you or must deliver late, for reasons beyond our control, we cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or loss this causes.
  23. We will not charge you for products that we have not delivered in accordance with these terms and conditions. Otherwise our liability in respect of incorrect delivery is limited to the price of your purchase.

Credit application

Customers who require a credit longer than seven days must complete a credit application and surety form. Please enquire at orders@urbanfoods.co.za.
